MIKE PETTRY is a composer with years of experience working in video games, including soundtracks for Double Dynamo (iOS), Epic Dumpster Bear (Playstation 4, Wii U), and the upcoming multi-platform game Yummy Circus. He is currently working on music for the upcoming Blood Nor Water (Mac, PC, Switch), and tracks from his library of game music have been licensed for dozens of other games.
Film scoring projects include the award-winning documentary The Promise of New York, and the upcoming comedy Batsh*t Bride.
MUSICAL THEATRE WRITER
MIKE WROTE MUSIC AND LYRICS for the critically acclaimed musical The Light Princess, which premiered at American Repertory Theater. The show was later named a NY Times Critic's Pick after premiering at New Victory Theater in NYC. The Pirate Princess also premiere at American Repertory Theater.
Mike’s musical theatre writing awards include the ASCAP Foundation Harold Adamson Lyric Award and the Jonathan Larson Award. Other musicals include Hardcore West Virginia (ASCAP workshop with Stephen Schwartz), The Last Song of Eddie Scourge with Eli Bolin, Mechanical and Things I Left on Long Island with Sara Cooper, and The Time Travelers Convention with Heidi Heilig.

MIKE HAS ORCHESTRATED several projects for television and live theatre. His orchestrations for Original Cast Album: Co-op (penned by John Mulaney, Seth Meyers, and Eli Bolin) were featured on IFC’s Documentary Now! as well as NBC’s Late Night With Seth Meyers. He also continues to create orchestrations for the Disney Junior television series Vampirina, which has reached over 49 million viewers in 115 countries.
Orchestrations for live theatre include Orphie and The Book of Heroes and The Noteworthy Life of Howard Barnes by Kooman and Dimond. He has also crafted digital orchestrations for projects by Jeff Bowen and Kerrigan-Lowdermilk.
MIKE HAS PERFORMED in theaters and clubs all over the US, including Broadway productions of Gettin’ The Band Back Together, SpongeBob SquarePants, Bandstand, Finding Neverland and Godspell.
Other New York productions include Faust at City Center Encores with Randy Newman and the off-Broadway shows Smokey Joe’s Cafe, The View Upstairs, Clinton: The Musical, FOUND, and Atomic.
MIKE’S MUSIC has all been professionally recorded, performed, and produced in Mike’s home studio. Using Logic Pro X and an array of keyboard and stringed instruments, Mike creates music with the highest quality plug-ins (full Eastwest suite, Kontakt 11 Ultimate, many others).
Mike produced, engineered, mixed and mastered the cast albums for The Light Princess, The Time Travelers Convention, and The Last Song of Eddie Scourge, plus demo for countless others. He has also appeared as a musician on the cast recordings of Clinton: The Musical, Rooms, The View Upstairs, and Things To Ruin: The Songs of Joe Iconis.
