Had a great run of Bespoke Musicals at the York Theatre, featuring The Colonel Cluster Contest, a 20-minute musical I cowrote with Eli Bolin!

I'm happy to announce that I'm finally recording the official demos for Hardcore West Virginia. It'll include the following amazingly talented people: Alex Brightman, Hannah Elless, F. Michael Haynie, Lorinda Lisitza, Lindsay Mendez, and Jason "Sweet Tooth" Williams.

I'll be done mid-October, but previews and will be rolling out before that. Check back here soon!

I've got another week until the summer slump ends, so I'm immersing myself in Logic 9 training. The goal? To know what I'm doing by the time I start making Hardcore West Virginia demos. My goal is to have 8 songs ready by mid-October!

Back in NYC after a month in Annapolis, MD with Infinity Theater Company's production of Dames at Sea, and a bizarre brush with Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease. 

Now I'm at CAP21 for a week-long writing residency, working on Hardcore West Virginia with my wife Claire Karpen, as well as some new projects with Michael Perlman and Eli Bolin.

Now back to work!

I've updated my website! My old one was build with a PC-only progam that hasn't been updated since 1998, so I've rebooted mikepettry.com with the help of virb (and a mac). After switching website hosting servers the website switcheroo is finally complete! The new and improved www.mikepettry.com is live in all it's modern glory. Check out all the social media buttons, and easily listen to songs via the SoundCloud widget.
